l Panino, Il Ritorno, Chancay, Tre Scalini and all seven locations of Spoon have all decided a butts out policy as part of the "Plan Espiral", that proposes measures for the elimination of smoke in public places.
The program has the support of the Instituto sobre Alcoholismo y Farmacodependencia (IAFA) - the Institute on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, the Red Nacional Anti Tabaco (National Tobacco council) and the Ministerio de Salud.
The five restaurants have been given a certificate of recognition by the Ministerio de Salud for their efforts in protecting non-smoking patrons from the hazards of second hand smoke.
